About Me

In my capacity as a Process Development Manager, I now lead the engineering department, heading a team of six dedicated professionals. This team collectively focuses on process development, industrialization, process control, digitalization, and software development. My role involves guiding the formulation and implementation of our digital transformation strategy, managing supplier engagements, coordinating cross-functional teams across diverse organizational and geographical settings, procuring essential capital equipment, and ensuring seamless integration between Information Technology (IT) and Operational Technology (OT).

Leading digital transformation

As a Process Development Manager, I play a crucial role in leading a dynamic digital transformation initiative while managing a team of six skilled engineers. Guiding our organization through this transformative journey, I am responsible for creating and implementing a comprehensive strategy that aligns our manufacturing processes with the requirements of Industry 4.0. This encompasses identifying suitable technological solutions, assessing financial feasibility, and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders. Additionally, I actively engage in the digitalization and automation community, which spans across multiple continents. By staying connected with professionals worldwide and participating in global industry events, I bring valuable insights and best practices to our digital transformation efforts. Bridging the gap between operational and information technology 

Creating and implementing long term and complex digital transformation strategy, allowing to convert existing manufacturing processes in line with the Industry 4.0 requirements. This includes, but is not limited to identification of the suitable technological solutions which will deliver a tangible benefit, analysing financial feasibility of the created strategy, communicating a long term vision and managing relationship with the key stakeholders. Defining technical requirements and writing technical specification for the new generation of the production equipment. Collaboration with the academic and research organisations in the field of development and adaptation of the existing or emerging technologies into production environment. Working closely with the IT department supporting creation of the new IT ecosystem allowing for the implementation of the created solution. Identification of the suitable suppliers and engaging them in the project. Managing CAPEX process, from down-selecting suppliers, agreeing the technical specification, negotiating T&C to equipment qualification and production hand over.

Production Engineer, LISI Aerospace

November 2015 - October 2018

Ensuring the smooth operation of the high volume manufacturing department 

Working as a production engineer, I was responsible for the secondary operations high volume production department consisting of 4 production lines. My day-to-day responsibilities included controlling and optimising production processes, improving consumable tooling life, organising routine maintenance of the production equipment, supervising sub-contractors, industrialisation of the new products, reviewing and creating new process and machinery related documentation, providing technical support, running 5S, SMED and 8D projects, optimising cycle time, reverse engineering and new design of the machine components in Solidworks, rapid prototyping using FDM 3D printing, replacing standard consumable tooling with 3D printed alternatives. Rearranging production lines to optimise production capacity in response to changing customer demand. Procurement of capital equipment starting from the project justification through creation of the technical specification, selecting suppliers, negotiation of the terms and conditions, machine qualification and finally creating relevant documentation, organising training and hand over to production.

Setting and operating specialised production equipment (mainly bespoke machinery) like thread rolling machines, automated lathes, multi-spindle milling machines. Verifying quality of the produced components for adherence to dimensional and visual standards, including micro-structure metallurgical inspection.

Fundation Degree in Engineering, Open University

Combining academic and work environment covering a vast number of engineering subjects. Starting with the origin of engineering and building a good foundation of the mathematical skills through the study of the following topics: design, electronics, energy, manufacturing, materials, mechanics and structural analysis. As a part of the mentioned subjects during the study I had to complete 2 work based modules (6 months each) related to managing projects using both AGILE and Predictive approach.
